"Bubble Gum Billie" is one of my gently humorous sculptures which naturally evolved into this present incarnation with a pop of colour. It's a simple sculpture designed to raise a smile, pleasantly serious and yet equally light hearted. As with most of my work the ideas evolve and emerge through practice and contemplation over time,  feelings plucked from the ether in the living of life, art which upon reflection opens up memories and new ways of seeing. The sculpture, a hand painted ceramic is mounted on a  marble base, it stands at a height of 53cm, length 33cm and depth 16cm. It requires a tiny little bit of assembly as the freely rotating fluorescent pink bubble is removed for shipping.
