"The Balancing of Faith" is one of my out there sculptures which has taken many years to evolve into this incarnation. It's a simple yet complex  sculpture designed to encourage engagement through  rotational elements which reflect the fluidity and uncertainty of life. A life in which we must trust and have faith in what is beyond our grasp. As with most of my work the ideas evolve and emerge through practice and contemplation over time,  feelings plucked from the living of life, art which upon reflection opens up new ways of seeing. The sculpture, a hand painted ceramic is mounted on a  marble base, it stands at a height of 67cm, length 42cm and depth 19cm. It requires a little bit of assembly as the balls and figure rotate freely on a stainless steel rods which need placing in the tubes which holds them.
